Support Senior Director of Merchandising for Product Licensing and Licensee partners in all aspects relating to product strategy / development / approval / marketing.

  • Manage and maintain milestone calendar and schedule / facilitate all meetings with Licensee to ensure deadlines are achieved.

  • Prepare and participate in all collaborative sessions between Ralph Lauren design and licensees.  This includes: ensuring licensees have all tools they need for each season; maintaining detailed notes and sending recaps of each meeting to all participants; follow-thru on all open issues with the licensees, maintaining all records for licensees as related to selling and product life cycle.

  • Build seasonal class & sku plans that support key product and merchandising strategies.  Work closely with licensees to ensure product opportunities are maximized.

  • Organize and chronicle product selection and sample process for marketing, advertising, and in store presentation for respective categories of business. 

  • Discuss the assortment informally and formally with management; have an informed point of view.

  • Communicate with & distribute critical merchandising information to Licensees on a timely basis. Ensure all teams are aligned on seasonal goals and strategies, in-season chase and product opportunities, in-store and on-product marketing.

  • Analyze weekly style selling and make recommendations based on conclusions drawn to maximize best sellers and minimize potential liabilities.

  • Conduct best seller meetings.

  • Visit stores monthly & shop the competition.  Provide detailed reports for trends & product opportunities, competitive pricing, in-store opportunities. Propose pricing & product strategies for the season. Maintain seasonal competitive analysis.

  • Suggest improvements and solutions to work issues.


  • 3+ years of experience in the retail industry.

  • College graduate.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal & teamwork skills.

  • Highly organized, detail oriented & accurate.

  • Strong analytical & retail math skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong development

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Work, PowerPoint and Outlook
