Position Summary:  Responsible for the profitable execution of Divisional product assortments. Ensure each assortment maintains Polo Brand identity and integrity, comprising:
Key Responsibilities:  
To ensure assortments are delivered to the business on a quarterly basis, encompassing all strategic initiatives and represents the financial requirements necessary to achieve sale and gross margin plans. 
Collaborate with the Logistics Director to ensure clear visibility of future receipts and that liability inventory is liquidated in the most brand appropriate and profitable manner. 
Collaborate and partner with Planning Director on quarterly Financial Planning at product category and delivery level, resulting in ideal product mix for growth and down trending areas. 
In conjunction with Planning Director provide clear direction on core assortment building criteria incorporating option count, Volume Driver approval and mix and Brand mix. 
Provide trend direction and guidance on Polo theme inspiration, managing timing and process on information gathering from the market, Full Price Retail (FPR) and Wholesale. Present seasonal trend stance in Concept Brainstorm meetings to Executive team. 
Manage Divisional pricing policy - execute appropriate pricing structures and maintain legality with our centre Landlords policies. Collaborate with other Buying Directors to maintain synergies across like product types where possible and appropriately. Review price architecture on a regular basis ensuring maximum IMU% is achieved and working in partnership with Planning Director present new price proposals to Senior Director of Buying for sign off. 
Deliver clear store assortment adjacency layouts by alpha rank, working with Visual Presentation on ideal floor map. Ensure Division/s are buying to match available floor / option space, taking into consideration Accessories, Basics, Seasonal Basics and markdown inventory. 
Provide direction, manage and produce quarterly signage requirements, working with Visual Presentation to present to Senior Director for sign off. 
Review best practice, process and consistency for all Buying owned meetings. Provide recommendations and standard documentation to facilitate enhanced and more efficient ways of working. Ensure process and documentation is adhered to. 
Co-ordinate and deliver well planned Assortment Strategy Meetings (ASM), including managing Divisional pre-meets. 
Manage and develop the divisions Buyer/s and Associate Buyer/s, create a succession plan which develops and retains high performing talent.
Lead and coordinate Final Range Presentation meetings (FRP), liaise with Storeline to produce post FRP pack, ensuring all salient financial and commercial points are communicated. 
Responsible for all sample procurement, both Excess and production, including running of Sample Sales and relevant financial protocol. 
Initiate Training & Development for Buying teams working closely with Human Resources/Learning and Development
Storeline communication of Buying related issues via News Brief 

Demonstrate comprehensive experience across varied product groups and/or businesses. 
Skilled in developing and implementing product assortments in line with strategic business goals, financial and market appropriate. 
Exhibited leadership and team management skills of both direct and indirect reports. 
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage diverse activities simultaneously. 
Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. 
Ability to think conceptually and strategically regarding business challenges combined with a bias for action and a proactive approach to problem solving.
