Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare garments for fitting.  Measure all samples and review construction details for discrepancies.
    Lead fit sessions.  Take concise fit notes.  Callout all measurements out of tolerance and discuss any incorrect construction details.  Offer viable solutions to fit or construction problems.
  • Partner with local factories and overseas office PD / TD counterparts to resolve any current or potential issues relating to fit or construction.
  • Partner with Design team throughout line development to ensure integrity of fit and garment construction is consistent with the heritage of Ralph Lauren product.
  • Maintain and update Technical Packages in Web PDM and PLM.  Enter all revised specs, construction details, and fit notes in Technical Packages.  Include updates to BOM page for all raw materials.’
  • Ensure alignment between product and design sketch.
  • Participate in initial design / TP handoff to factory for development of protos and samples.
  • Maintain professional & clear daily communication with cross functional partners and overseas offices regarding material changes, construction details, fit and pattern issues.  Ensure that all necessary parties are kept in the loop in a timely manner.
  • Approve protos and stock garments in accordance with Time & Action calendar.
 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in PLM, WEB PDM, Excel, Illustrator, Outlook Ability to fit and analyze appropriate fit corrections.
  • Knowledge of patternmaking and grading.  
  • Knowledge of production/manufacturing processes and capabilities.
  • Ability to multi task and problem solve.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  •  
    10+ years’ experience in the apparel industry.
