Job Details

Movetes is a modern apparel collection for active women. Our growing company is seeking an experienced sales representative in both the New York and Los Angeles areas. We are looking for individuals who already have existing relationships with department stores, boutiques and specialty shops. This position is a commission based opening for a sales agent that has established connections in their territory and a showroom or curated collection group that would hang well with Movetes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Extensive cold calling and in person store visits to develop buying relationships.
  • Availability to meet sales quotas and revenue targets, prospecting and developing new and existing accounts and growing strategic relationships.
  • Tasked with increasing revenue within the assigned territory by initiating regular in person contact with existing and potential clients and introducing these clients to Movetes brand.
  • Travel to existing and potential client sites throughout entire sales territory.
  • Excellent organizational and reporting abilities, with weekly reports and recaps of client status and progress
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective customers.
  • The right candidate will be able to participate in industry trade shows.
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete sales forms, documents and reports.
  • Attend sales meetings as necessary via phone, email or in person.

 

 

Requirements

Requirements: A Territory Sales Representative is responsible for building relationships with retailers and demonstrates experience in growing and closing sales. Position requires prospecting and developing new accounts, with a focus on building on long term customer relationships and increasing sales revenue. The Territory Sales Representative will be evaluated on the ability to meet sales quotas and revenue targets. This position requires proven territory management skills, reliable transportation and an enthusiasm for extensive travel.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed specified sales goals.
  • Strong relationship building and business development skills.
  • Skilled in time, territory and call cycle management.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational, presentation and merchandising skills.
  • Excellent customer service and listening skills.
  • High energy, stamina and resourcefulness.
  • Competitive desire to grow the Movetes Brand.
  • Clear, common sense thinker with critical reasoning skills.
  • Able to obtain information, evaluate alternatives, seek advice, make recommendations and take action.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email).

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of proven success in wholesale sale - Must have at least 4 years of sales experience and current relationships with department stores, boutiques and specialty fashion stores in the area.
