The Manager of Corporate Business Development will be responsible for analyzing business opportunities and managing corporate projects that support the global growth strategies and business initiatives of Ralph Lauren Corporation.

Key activities include new business opportunity analysis, current business performance evaluation, financial modeling and valuation, peer and industry analysis and benchmarking, and licensing and acquisition management, including due diligence activities, legal documentation and launch / transition / integration support efforts. 

This Corporate Business Development Group resides within Global Expansion and Business Development and the Manager of Corporate Business Development will report into the Director of Corporate Business Development. 

The Manager is expected to work collaboratively and cross-functionally, interacting with business and functional group leads and their teams, and to effectively communicate the results of his/her findings in an effective, discernible manner. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Analysis

·         Develop detailed financial model scenarios and analyses to evaluate new or   

          existing businesses

·         Gather, analyze and report data across divisions, brands, regions or product categories

·         Establish processes and metrics to evaluate business performance and stated objectives

·         Coordinate and implement new business opportunity due diligence with business divisions

          and functional groups

·         Support acquisition and licensing related activities (due diligence, negotiation, legal    

          documentation, implementation-planning)

Strategic Projects

·         Support “piloting” of various projects and initiatives required to accomplish 3 year plan

·         Analyze the performance of existing and new competitors or markets

·         Perform industry, and trend research and analysis

·         Create presentations for quarterly board of directors and senior management meetings

·         Support Investor Relations activities and initiatives

Management

·         Effectively lead and manage work streams with existing Business Development staff

·         Coordinate and manage the efforts of cross-functional working teams

·         Liaise with internal partners and outside consultants and service providers

·         Provide updates to senior management and other business partners

·         Support projects by creating detailed financial models and analysis

Position Requirements:
      ·         Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
      ·         Minimum of 5 years of work experience
      ·         Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in management consulting, Corporate Strategy
                or Corporate Business Development
      ·         Minimum of two years relevant work experience at a Consumer Products, Retail, or Luxury
      ·         Strong valuation and modeling skills, solid understanding of financial statement analysis and
                principles
      ·         Excellent analytical skills; Able to synthesize large amounts of data into insightful information
      ·         High level of attention to detail; Accurate
      ·         Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
      ·         Experience managing projects through to completion
      ·         Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deliverable deadlines; Strong time management
                skills
      ·         Self-starter capable of working independently
      ·         Outstanding communication and formal presentation skills
      ·         Collaborative and team oriented
      ·         Integrity / trustworthy / ethical
      ·         Passionate, curious and enthusiastic – with a desire to excel
      ·         Able to work with ambiguity
