Manager, Customer & Email Analytics

Responsible for analyzing customer data and email campaigns to inform customer segmentation, customer insights, improved email marketing best practices and KPIs. Requires cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Progress strategies to positively impact customer activation, engagement, retention, and loyalty
- Provide insights to improve email campaign performance including: subject line testing, CTAs and creative testing.
- Strategize designs, build and deploy email pilot programs, conduct A/B and multivariate testing which supports the business learning needs and integrate findings into improving ALEX AND ANI email campaigns
- Strategize with E-Commerce and Digital Marketing teams the next generation of email and communications in outlets which include, but are not limited to, email, direct mail, website, social media, phone, text, and other wireless devices
- Drive enhancement of email features and capabilities (both short and long term) including targeting, personalization, email templates and mobile optimization
- Continuously improve key channel metrics, including revenue per email, email driven revenue, and email opt-out rate per campaign, through expanded capabilities
- Lead strategic thinking, analysis and development of a customer driven segmentation and contact program
- Building campaigns and executing traffic-driving efforts for large scale product and UX launches
- Evaluate and improve the email production process and creative output by working with peers in merchandising, content and creative departments
- Tracking tasks and dependencies across multiple teams
- Managing and tracking multi-channel marketing efforts for seasonal and promotional events
- Review creative asset production (in partnership with a dedicated design team)
- Create and develop integrated programs and campaigns in alignment with new product launches, existing product up-sell and new market development
- In house expert on data/analytics strategy, performance, technological and compliance with all CAN SPAM, permissions and international email regulations
- Error-free email execution

Qualifications and Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in CRM and/or Email Marketing Analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, analytics focus preferred
- Excellent writing and copyediting skills
- Ability to edit basic HTML and XML
- Expert in analyzing data to inform business decisions, including Excel modeling, BI tools like tableau and customer databases
- Experience with Google Analytics is required
- Experience in Enterprise Email Solution Provider such as ExactTarget, Responsys or Sailthru is required
- Deep understanding of email marketing operations, technology, and campaign platforms
- Experience with best practices in Customer Data and Email Analytics: CRM database and email technology, delivery strategies, service providers, list management, and CAN SPAM regulations
- This position requires limited travel; 0-25%
