What began as simple love of the outdoors has moved with us through all of our adventures over the years. It has brought a breath and vitality that continues to energize our thinking and designs.
Nature has guided prAna since the very start, with its abundance of color, materials and energy along with endless inspiration to make products that can be well worn and, more importantly, well lived in. Whether in our sports, our yoga practice or on our travels, the adventure has never failed to make us many wonderful friends and memories. For these incredible generosities, we are grateful and hope to give back something in return.
We're always looking for new ways to fold sustainable materials and practices into our collection, working to reduce the impact on soils, water supplies and other natural resources.
As a member of the Organic Trade Association, prAna is continually increasing the use of organic cotton, as well as sourcing other natural fibers and innovative recycled/upcycled materials.
In 2007, prAna is effectively tripling its support of wind power, adding 100 European and 50 Canadian retailers to the 250 US retailers already participating. The expanded investment supports wind farms in India, China, US and Canada.

Overview of prAna:
prAna is an ancient Sanskrit word for breath, life and vitality of the spirit. We are honored to borrow this word as our company name,as it lifts our aspirations and helps guide our actions towards a socially mindful and environmentally sustainable organization.
We started back in 1993 in Carlsbad, California and we continue to grow and resonate with like-minded people; climbers, surfers, athletes of all flavors, yogis, artistsand free spirited folks around the world.
Our apparel and accessories are thoughtfully designed and built to last, for sport, life, travel and adventure. It is our hope that when people wear prAna, they can feel the intention and passion that is woven into everything we make and everything we do.
Our strategic focus is on building a multi-channel business, with brand building and sales efforts within our wholesale dealer network and a growing direct to consumer business. Our direct consumer business demand is driven by a print catalog, social media, e-commerce and brick and mortar retail stores.
