This is an opportunity to be a key, valuable player on a small, fun, hard-working team at an exciting, fast-growing menswear brand in NYC.

*Please note, experience in domestic apparel production is required.* 

Overview:

The Production Manager will be responsible for coordinating all production and supply chain activities for the breadth of Rowing Blazers product line (~50 styles across all categories). They will be primarily responsible for the creation of product from the purchase of raw materials and trims through to the bulk production being added to inventory. They will also manage inventory levels and costing sheets. Techincal design experience a plus. The Production Manager will work directly with the Creative Director and COO. They will also be responsible for the quality control process across both raw materials manufacturing and finished goods production. The Manager will need to adapt to real-time changes and challenges throughout the production process and ensure the design and development work are executed through to finished products that align with the company’s strong product and brand presence. This role presents a tremendous opportunity for growth in a fast-growing Made-in-America menswear brand. Role is based in Manhattan, New York.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production of all merchandise on time to Creative Director's specifications
  • Manage relationship with third-party logistics provider and work to execute and optimize all freight movements
  • Manage all third party manufacturing and production relationships, continually evaluating methods to increase efficiency and optimize production at the factory level and across the supply chain
  • Ensure appropriate manufacturing capabilities are in place to sustain growth
  • Create accurate costing sheets to support financial forecasting and product planning
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, trims and products
  • Understand all cost and margin components of the business to assist all team members in meeting financial goals of the company
  • Maintain appropriate documentation supporting finance and accounting needs

Requirements

Requirements:
  • 5+ years domestic production management experience, ideally in menswear
  • Strong costing and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of fabrics, construction and yarn-dye techniques
  • Possess strong project management skills with ability to work collaboratively with all functional areas while being able to work independently
  • Strong technical aptitude, including advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, and ability to work in complicated backend inventory systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A great attitude and readiness to work hard
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams/projects with tight timelines in a fast growth, dynamic environment
  • Technical design experience a plus
