Movetes is seeking a talented Production Manager to join our growing team. Our team helps bring design to life, introducing innovative essentials for the modern active woman. We are seeking a Production Manager who is passionate and has a precise understanding of what goes into bringing a product to life from conception to packaging and shipping the finished product. We are looking for a team player who is seasoned within the industry and well versed with factory relations. The ideal person for this role will be energetic, extremely detail-oriented, have excellent follow up skills and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment. We are looking for a go-getter who knows the ins and outs of the fashion and production world. Someone who understands the importance of the production cycle and its timing. As the Production Manager, you'll be involved with the planning, coordination and control of all the steps of the manufacturing process. You'll make sure goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality we pride ourselves on.

  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Supply chain management starting from salesman sample through on-time receipt of finished goods
  • Responsible for the management of entire production cycle
  • Primary communicator and liaison with the factories
  • Management of Time & Action Calendars, so all team members are aware of deadlines and production dates
  • Strong cost negotiating skills combined with a detailed knowledge and understanding of cost breakdown
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, finishing, and garment construction for both Wovens and Knitted garments
  • Responsible for maintenance and updates of seasonal cost logs
  • Direct responsibility for seasonal factory allocations and factory / capacity planning that is consistent with the global sourcing strategy  
  • Manage final production bulk approval process for fabric, lab dips, fabric wash & finishes, including any embellishments
  • Maintain close working partnership with all team members and work closely with pre-production, merchandising and design to fully understand the brand’s goal  
  • Analyze and maintain production logs and report any production issues or potential delays to merchandising and planning depts
  • Monitor and track approvals throughout the production process
  • Work proactively, anticipating any issues that may impact delivery and prices
  • Attend fittings and monitor fit approval process
  • Understand and analyze implications of fit changes
  • Assist in preparing for weekly meetings with Design and Merchandising
  • Ability to manage and oversee a team and work closely with outside contacts


  • Requirements :
  • College degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Development / Production
  • Excellent organization skills, detail oriented and strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications -Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook
