Position: Sales Account Manager
Location:
NYC, USA

Mele and Co., the leading brand in jewelry organization, seeks an experienced sales person with a love for accessories who will drive sales growth with a sense of urgency in a self-starting entrepreneurial environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work, a team player, and who thinks out of the box.

OPPORTUNITY

  • Primary responsibilities: Drive same-store growth in existing key accounts and develop new business through active prospecting via web, email, phone, mailings, and tradeshow activities.
  • Secondary responsibilities: Provide exemplary service to all existing accounts, assist with product development, social media, catalog, and other marketing functions.
  • Occasional travel required (20%).
  • Competitive compensation package (salary plus incentive bonuses and excellent benefits).
  • Represent an established (1912), well branded and respected company.
  • Midtown Manhattan office location.


KEY ATTRIBUTES & CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Proven track record of results in sales.
  • Strong business sense and experience prospecting for new business and selling major key accounts with a sense of urgency.
  • Specific experience (3+ years) and possession of active relationships with buyers in gift, internet, home décor, and jewelry/accessory industry a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience with e-commerce and marketing efforts.
  • Experience in working on coordinated sales and marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Above average computer literacy with skills in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint and data analysis. Knowledge of AS400, CommerceHub, and VendorNet a plus.
  • Ability to travel to meet with sales accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree; business and marketing majors preferred.
