VCNY Home is a family owned, fast growing, 30 year-young company.  We are looking for experienced sales individuals who will embrace our fast paced highly growth potential company.

We offer a base salary and commission. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by cultivating and maintaining relationships with customers  
  • Work closely with Design, Merchandising to identify market needs/trends and plan customer programs.
  • Work closely with Product Development, Design and Sourcing in order to implement customer programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen multi-level relationships with customers and company personnel to ensure optimal execution of plans.
  • Maintain close working relationships with Sourcing and Inventory Control staff of company to understand their job responsibilities and requirements in order to improve interaction between Sales and customer.
  • Partner with senior management to meet company sales goals, ensure total quality management, maintain timely deliveries, proper inventory levels and foster vendor relationships.
  • Work with management to streamline product development process and procurement to maximize efficiencies  and meet profit goals
  • Full P&L responsibility; accountable for all sales, margins, expenses and customer allowances.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3+ years selling experience in the home textiles industry or fashion apparel.  Preferable selling experience in bath, bedding or Home Décor soft product line. 
  • Must bring a successful track record of closing the deal, building a business, and exceeding sales targets
  • E-commerce sales experience a plus!
  • 3+ years Merchandising experience
  • Proven track record of success in the management of an organization where there has been substantial profitable sales increase
  • Excellent analytical skills required
  • Excellent people skills, must be flexible
  • Organized, focused individual who understands how to prioritize
  • Strong communication skills both oral and verbal
  • Must be passionate about consumer and product.
  • Must be hands on in his/her approach to work
  • Domestic travel required
