Scope of Role/ Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between design, production, merchandising, trim development, & technical design
  • Anticipate and resolve all product development related issues for sweater production
  • Communicate with factories and vendors daily to resolve pending issues and ensure deadlines are on target 
  • Attend design hand off meetings  as requested and identify any issues, such as long lead times and mill minimum requirements
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is received from teams for each seasons hand off
  • Coordinate with trim development on the sourcing, costing, and development time line status of each product’s trim raw materials
  • Ensure clear and complete tech packages (Images, BOM’s, Product Note Pages) are generated in PLM and sent to vendors for development
  • Oversee timelines and work closely with Design, Fabric and Trim Development to ensure timely approval of fabrics, trims, washes, mock-up’s, prototypes, etc. from development through to bulk approval
  • Oversee tracking charts for work flow execution and timely approvals
  • Generate Color Palettes for internal use and send color copies to factories/mills indicating CMS Color standards they are to request through the TDCR
  • Review of lab dips and color matching for patterns and key item programs
  • Attend fittings and provide feedback on fabrication while foreseeing any issues
  • Review line with Merchandising & Design to trouble shoot on challenging styles
  • Attend Line Review with Design & Merchandising to monitor changes that affect pricing and delivery
  • Ensure PLM tech packages are updated with any relevant changes outlined in add/drop memos from merchandising and from any changes during fittings or line reviews
  • Partner with Design and Production to facilitate the development of product, consistent with all aesthetic and financial expectations
  • Support Production and Design during weekly W.I.P. meetings and reports to verify all components of production are on track
  • Responsible for sending out yarn development tech pack
  • Manage seasonal program books keeping them updated as submits are approved
  • Coordinate with Production team and testing to ensure the final product is handed off for production close out and testing
  • Assist with special projects as needed.


  • College education degree required
  • 6 to 8 years’ experience in apparel industry with strong project management skills, ideally within a garment manufacturing sourcing environment  
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage deadlines
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent understanding of product development and process
  • Ability to facilitate change and implement process improvements
  • Computer knowledge – Flex PLM, Outlook, Excel, Word, WebPDM
  • General knowledge of knit category and production
