Creative Exchange Agency (CXA) is an interdisciplinary artist management, production and creative content agency that cultivates the intersection of art, culture, design and commerce.

CXA represents and aligns multidisciplinary artists with brands to conceptualize content, cultivate immersive experiences and environments, and orchestrate collaborations.

We are looking for a Director of Communications in our New York office to represent artists within the Fashion, Style and Design divisions, including some of the most respected and renowned fashion designers, art directors, casting directors, sound designers, influencers, fashion editors and fine artists. The role is to align artists in these divisions with brands to create various forms of content and activations, from design and product collaborations to immersive environments. As an agent, you will be developing, negotiating and managing collaborative projects with global luxury and fashion brands by leveraging your creative, writing and relationship-building expertise, as well as orchestrating the process.

This role requires persuasive writing and excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interpret and tailor communications to a varied group of clients and cultures.

We’re looking for someone who can juggle a number of assignments varying between artistic talent, and has the ability to self-prioritize their workload to achieve deadlines. 

Daily Responsibilities include:

-Development and implementation of sales strategy for artists, art directors, designers, fashion editors and fine artists.  

-Oversight and management of artistic talent on projects including advertising campaigns, brand collaborations, fashion runway shows, and more.

-Liaison between artistic talents and brands / production companies.

-Identify, cultivate and engage new business and revenue opportunities for artistic collaborations within fashion, luxury, beauty and Fortune 500 arenas.

-Develop, oversee and negotiate budgets worldwide.

-Researching and maintaining current cultural and brand awareness.

-Advise on new artist acquisitions. 


-Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a focus on Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Art History, or related field.

-Minimum of 3 years experience in artistic management, fashion PR or related field.

-Background in fast-paced creative environment

-Ability to think creatively and strategically and be a motivated self-starter.

-Established contacts in fashion and luxury is a plus.

-Impeccable organization, communication and written skills, attention to detail, and a respect for deadlines.

-A clear understanding and respect of aesthetics in relation to artists and brands.
